Caring for Your Windproof Lighter

We don't make that promise lightly. We know that behind every Zippo product sent for repair is an owner depending on our promise to get it back in working order. Whether a lighter is five years, 25 years, or 50 years old, it will serve as a dependable source of flame for years to come. We guarantee it.

Note: Please do not attempt to perform repairs yourself as it could damage the lighter beyond repair.

Your lighter will be repaired at no charge and returned promptly to you in approximately 6-8 weeks from receipt.

 

Follow these easy steps to return your product for repair:

Step #1
  • Prepare your lighter for shipment.
  • Remove the inside unit from the lighter.
  • Allow all fuel to evaporate.
  • Replace inside unit in lighter case.

Please note: The Royal Mail have recently adopted regulations which classify Zippo lighters as dangerous goods.  As a result of this classification any lighters that are sent via Royal Mail services could be returned or destroyed. Zippo UK are working to seek a reclassification of our lighters allowing them to be transported by the Royal Mail.

Until the situation with Royal Mail has been fully resolved we would strongly recommend that all lighters that are returned for repair should be sent via an alternative postal provider.  Currently the courier My Hermes www.myhermes1.co.uk is able to ship used Zippo windproof lighters within the UK.

Caring for Your BLU® Lighter

Note: Please do not attempt to perform repairs yourself, as it could damage the product beyond repair. Do not attempt to remove the inside assembly. There are no user serviceable parts inside this lighter.

Caring for Your Zippo Watch

Zippo Watches are warranted to be free of defects in materials and workmanship for two years from the date of purchase with proof of purchase. This warranty covers only the case and metal strap, watch movement, hands and dial. They will be repaired or the watch will be replaced at the sole discretion of Zippo free of repair charges.

This warranty does not cover the battery, crystal, non-metal strap or bracelet, incidents of normal wear and tear (including but not limited to scratches or other damage to the finish), incidents of abuse, or water damage unless the watch is marked as waterproof and the watch was used as instructed when the damage occurred.

This warranty gives you specific legal rights which are in addition to, but run concurrently with, any other legal rights which you may have under the statues of a state, province or country, and does not limit those statutory rights.

When we receive your watch, it will be promptly repaired or replaced.

Caring for Your Zippo Writing Instrument

Zippo Writing Instruments are warranted to be free of defects in materials and workmanship for two years from the date of purchase with proof of purchase. This warranty does not include the finish and ink refills or damage to the pens resulting from abuse or misuse. Your Writing Instrument will be repaired or replaced with the same or similar product at the sole discretion of Zippo free of repair charges.

Contact your retailer for warranty information. This warranty gives you specific legal rights which run concurrently with, and do not affect, your statutory rights.
