Key Account Manager (*all gender)

Do you have an entrepreneurial spirit and a hunting instinct?

As a member of the Zippo European team, you will be responsible for acquiring new customers and identifying business opportunities for Zippo in the FMCG market at national level in supermarkets, hypermarkets, DIY, pharmacies, and other major retailers.

You will be responsible for acquiring new FMCG customers offering Zippo products as well as solutions and services.

You will report directly to the Managing Director Europe. This permanent position is available for immediate recruitment and full-time based in our office in London, Chiswick.

Tasks

  • Acquiring and developing new accounts
  • Promote Zippo products within the consumer goods market
  • Develop loyalty with key accounts and develop new projects
  • Ensure competitive intelligence, monitor market needs and developments
  • Building the promotion plan for Zippo products and leading this portfolio as an entrepreneur
  • Commercial strategy adapted to each customer, managing tenders, and negotiating prices and sales conditions directly with customers
  • Your knowledge of the markets and players will enable you to implement the products


Requirements

Accountant (*all gender)

With over 50 years of experience in the European market, our company is 90 years old and present in over 160 countries. We are a team of dedicated people focused on delivering the highest quality products to our customers at the best possible price.

To support our European team, we are looking for a Senior Accountant (m/f/d) full-time based in our office in London, Chiswick as soon as possible.

Tasks

  • You actively support the European team (Germany, France and the UK) in the management of the general ledger including accrual postings, accruals, VAT and account reconciliations
  • Preparation of monthly financial statements
  • You actively support reporting to the parent company
  • Participation in the preparation of the annual financial statements
  • Further development of accounting systems, processes and posting logic in coordination with superiors, auditors, and colleagues
  • Responsible for monitoring and posting all business transactions by legal and internal Group requirements (financial accounting, accounts payable and accounts receivable)
  • Handling electronic payment transactions
  • Regular account maintenance, reconciliation, and clarification
  • Preparation of evaluations and reports as well as submission of advance VAT returns
  • Contact person for our employees, the sister company to be supported, auditors and tax consultants


Requirements

  • Coordination and communication skills and assertiveness

  • Willingness to shape the optimization and implementation of processes
  • Completed business studies or completed commercial vocational training with additional professional qualifications
  • Relevant experience in the field of balance sheet accounting, knowledge of the UK GAAP, (ideally the US GAAP or French GAAP) financial statement security and knowledge of tax law
  • Experience in the use of common accounting programs and secure knowledge of MS Office, especially Excel
  • Sound knowledge of an ERP system, preferably Microsoft Dynamics 365
